British Society for Haematology Essay Prize 2011
The winner was Ben Blackman (St George's, London) and the runner up was Bernard Maybury (Oxford). Ben is pictured here, receiving his certificate at the student master class on 3 March. There were also three highly commended entries from: Arun Bhaskaran, Christopher Tang (both from King's, London) and Alasdair Scott (Imperial, London).
As winner and runner up, Ben received a cheque for £500 and Bernard one for £250.

There will be a prize for 2012 and we will advertise it on the website in the autumn.
