Haemostasis Fellowship
Congratulations to Professor John Porter and Dr Maciej Garbowski of University College London, who have been awarded the joint BSH/UK Thalassaemia Society/Sickle Cell Society Haemaostasis Fellowship for their study Molecular factors affecting iron accumulation in cardiomyocytes in transfusional iron overloaded conditions.

BSH 2009 prize winners

BSH / LRF Fellowship
The Joint BSH/LRF Clinical Research Training Fellowship for 2008 has been awarded to Dr George Vassiliou and Professor Allan Bradley at the Welcome Trust Sanger Insitute for a study on insertional mutagenesis and murine models of haematological malignancies. The Fellowship is currently being advertised.
