Haemophilia – acquired and inherited: The programme encompasses the interests of nurses working with children and/or adults affected by haemophilia and related bleeding disorders. It will appeal to nurses with a significant interest in this field as well as specialists. There will be opportunities for exhibition viewing, networking with colleagues and discussion of the new forum priorities.

This course, which includes both lectures and work at individual microscopes, is suitable for staff grade haematologists and advanced trainees in haematology.  It is also ideally suited to Specialist Registrars in Haematology and Histopathology preparing for the Royal College exams.

The course focuses on histopathology of the bone marrow with an emphasis on microscopic evaluation and discussion of; normal morphology, extensive collection of test cases, and interpretation of immunohistochemistry by the participants.  Morphology of lymphoid tissue is also included in the program of study.

Haematology in Obstetrics

This is a multidisciplinary course suitable for consultants, trainees and specialist nurses and midwives. The aim is to develop the skills and competencies of health professionals in managing haematological issues in pregnancy. It includes didactic teaching on major topics together with interactive sessions and workshops. To optimise learning, interaction and enjoyment of the course, places are limited to 25. Manchester Blood Coagulation Course
